Transforming Back Pain Saturday Retreat
During this one-day retreat, Lisa and Neil Pearson will join Maggie Reagh in Garden Bay on the Sunshine Coast to explore how Yoga philosophy and practices support the transformation of back pain. Each teacher will offer a Yoga Therapy practice specifically for people living with back pain, using embodied experiences to enhance our understanding of how the Yoga tradition and western science align through multiple perspectives. This retreat is eligible for 8 CE credits upon request through Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) CE petition process.

Teachers
Neil Pearson, PT, MSc, BSc, BA-BPHE, C-IAYT, ERYT500 has focused his 40+ year career on advancing our understand of effective care when pain persists, with specific emphasis on pain science education, non-pharmacological pain care, and the integration of pain science into yoga therapy.

Lisa Pearson, Swami Swarupananda’s unique and inspirational teachings arise from the bridging of pain care to spiritual health. A guest teacher in YTT’s and faculty with Inner Peace Yoga Therapy School, Lisa also offers a Mentorship in Meditation & Spiritual Health, Pain Care Aware Certification Programs, Yoga Retreats/Workshops, Spiritual Guidance Sessions and 1:1 Yoga Therapy.

Maggie Reagh, MA in Teaching, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, YACEP has studied under D.V. and Radha Sridhar of Chennai, India since 2001 in the Krishnamacharya-Desikachar tradition. For 15 years, she directed Yoga Therapy International, an IAYT-accredited program, from which she has now retired to focus on CE for Yoga students, teachers and therapists.
